Lunches

Every day freshly prepared hot meals are cooked in our school kitchen by the staff of Cucina.

 

 

SCHOOL MEALS MUST BE ORDERED AND PAID FOR DIRECTLY WOTH CUCINA BY MIDNIGHT ON SATURDAY FOR THE WEEK AHEAD. SEE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW

 

All pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal. There is a charge for all other children for a hot school meal.

 

All pupils are given a choice of meal each day and have the access to a salad bar, fruit and yogurt to compliment their meal. If your child has food allergies the catering manager will be happy to discuss alternative menu choices.

 

Whilst we cannot claim to be a ‘nut free’ school, the food prepared by Cucina does not contain nuts and we ask all parents providing a packed lunch for their children to ensure that no nuts are included.

 

All parents are encouraged to provide a piece of fruit for their children to eat at morning play. This is provided to our younger children. if you choose for your child to have a packed lunch, we ask that they are healthy during the week but a treat can be included every Friday.

Free School Meals

Free School Meal Eligibility & Pupil Premium

Free School Meals can be provided to pupils if parents/guardians meet the eligibility criteria below.  Even if your child does not take a school meal, we urge you to complete the application form.

 

Eligibility Criteria – Does either parent receive any of the following: -

  • Universal Credit with an annual net earned income of no more than £7400
  • Income support
  • Income based Jobseeker’s Allowance (IBJSA)
  • Income related Employment and Support Allowance (IRESA)
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guarantee element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (with no Working Tax Credit) with an annual gross income of no more than £16,190, as assessed by HMRC.

N.B. If you receive Working Tax Credit you do NOT qualify even if you received Child Tax Credit and your income is below £16,190

  • Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)

 

Infant free school meals in England

Your child will be entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.  However, if you receive any of the qualifying benefits listed above, we would encourage you to still complete the application form below as the school can claim additional funding to support our eligible pupils.
