The Friends of St Michael PTA

The Friends of St Michael PTA held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in October and elected a  PTA Committee with ten members (parents and staff), a Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary.

 

All parents, guardians / carers and staff are members of the PTA and any person wishing to offer appropriate support or help to the school is also very welcome!

 

We have a dedicated website which we ask all parents and staff to sign up to so that we can communicate, sign up to volunteer and pay for specific PTA events.

Our PTA aims are:

  • To engage in activities, provide facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils, helping the school provide ‘Excellence, Enrichment and Enjoyment’.
  • To develop effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.

 

We are a very active group, which organises social and fund raising events to raise money to meet these aims. We hold regular meetings to organise fantastic events such as the Christmas Fayre, the Summer Fayre, Pantomime trips, Coffee Mornings and one off spectaculars!

 

The funds have enabled the school to invest in resources such as play equipment, library books a Science Lab, an Outdoor Classroom, an Immersive Classroom, a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and most recently, our own school minibus!

 

 

 

We are currently raising funds to install outdoor gym equipment on our playground. 

 

 

 

We welcome any suggestions for fund-raising events and are grateful to anyone able to devote their time to help organise them.
